I've been absent...

But we kind of have a pretty big, scratch that, pretty small excuse.

It's about the size of a raspberry and is equally as sweet to share with you all, we are EXPECTING!

Can you believe it? Because I almost can't.

If you follow the blog you know we were trying to some extent and I was getting frustrated and I had given up and said we would "officially" try in April when Bug turned the big ONE, but I guess God had different timing and so here we are again on this awesome journey called parenthood.

I am scared. I am energetically ready. I am nervous, again. I am happy beyond words. We have joy and excitement more than we can handle. This is crazy, right? Never the less, here we are and we will be ready or not because here #2 comes!!

I am at this moment 8 weeks pregnant. We went and had our first appointment today. I have known since week 4. I thought that I was tired a little more than usual (just like with Hunter I might add...) but I honestly thought I wasn't and I didn't want to get my hopes up. Anyways, I took a test when Aunt Flo was a couple days late and sure enough that plus sign popped right up. Whoa. Seriously, we are pregnant, again? Wait, that's TWO in TWO years! But I was stoked. I couldn't wait to tell Brock. Hunter and I went to Target and it was all I could do not to buy baby stuff. Instead we picked up an "I'm a Big Brother" book and we showed it to Daddy when he got home! He looked at me when he read the title and I just COULD NOT stop laughing. I was hysterical. & then he gets this goofy grin and asks me if I am for real. "Of course I am real you goof!" I show him the test and it's baby names and nursery talk for the rest of the night.

So here we are, post ultrasound with out first picture of our sweet little baby. I am so excited for all the baby related posts that will follow. A week by week update as well as all the other happenings of our daily lives.

How far along: 8 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Lost 3 lbs

Maternity clothes: Yeah man, I couldn't wait to break out maternity leggings and maxi skirts.

Stretch Marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Find trouble sleeping at night, and am exhausted all day

Best Moment this week: Seeing our baby love for the first time

Miss anything: eating actual meal

Movement: phantom kicks

Food Cravings: none yet

Anything make you sick or queasy: just about everything, nothing sounds good

Have you started to show yet: not really

Gender Prediction: Boy

Labor Signs: Lord, no.

Belly Button in or out: In, and please let it stay that way!

Wedding Rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Two words. Emotional wreck.

Looking forward to: Finding out if we are giving Hunter a baby Easton/Chase or Haddie.
